M. Sc. Forestry is the 2 year post graduate program that is art and science of tree resources including plantation and natural stands. It is an independent scientific branch which deals with practical and theoretical aspects of various aspects of forestry with its proper management. Those with a bachelor"s degree and master"s degree in forestry can apply to the state government as well as to the central government through the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination.
